Hotel Aurora
Material Continuity and Comfort for Seaside Hospitality
Directly overlooking the sea in Jesolo, Hotel Aurora is a facility where contemporary architecture, light, and coastal landscape create an experience that extends well beyond the interiors. The pool, solarium, and outdoor walkways are integral components of the hospitality offering.
In the outdoor surface refurbishment project, the requirement was clear: ensure aesthetic quality, safety, and stability in an environment exposed to intense sunlight, salt spray, and continuous use throughout the summer season.
In the hospitality sector, flooring is not a technical detail.
It is what guests perceive underfoot, often barefoot.
Mosaico Drenante in Botticino shade was therefore adopted, consistent with the bright image of the facility and the marine context.
The continuous surface eliminates joints and visual fragmentation, while the slip-resistant finish ensures safety even near the pool. The drainage structure facilitates rapid water disposal, preventing pooling.
Furthermore, the material composition and light coloration help contain surface heat accumulation, reducing the heat island effect and improving underfoot comfort during the hottest hours.
The result is a stable, orderly, and reliable outdoor space capable of sustaining intensive use while maintaining perceptual and functional quality over time.

- Underfoot Comfort in Coastal Environment
Benefits Achieved
- Continuous and Slip-Resistant Surface
- Natural Water Drainage
- Resistance to UV and Marine Agents
- Reduction of Surface Overheating
- Reduced Maintenance Interventions Over Time
The use of the HiSkin System has enabled the transformation of outdoor surfaces into a structural component of the hospitality experience, not merely a covering.
In a high-exposure marine context, technical stability, water management, and thermal control become concrete tools for quality and operational reliability.
