Borgata Bosi
The story of a place reborn
Among the hills of Bardino Nuovo lies a corner of Liguria where stone preserves the memory of time. Borgata Bosi, with its narrow alleys and houses overlooking historic pavements, is one of those places where identity is read in the details.
For years, the village awaited an intervention capable of restoring its vitality without betraying its character. The Municipality of Tovo San Giacomo, with the support of the Liguria Region, launched an urban regeneration project aimed at the redevelopment of walkways and small squares, with a clear objective: to improve livability for residents and make the experience more welcoming for visitors.
In such a delicate context, it was not possible to choose just any flooring.
A solution was needed that could integrate with Ligurian stone, respect its tones, and accompany the paths without interrupting visual continuity.
It is in this balance between memory and innovation that Mosaico Drenante was chosen.
The continuous surface has improved the safety of the paths and resolved issues related to water stagnation, but the most significant value of the intervention was its harmonious integration into the historical fabric. The new walkways do not replace the village: they complete it.
Today, those walking through Borgata Bosi no longer encounter discontinuities or slippery surfaces, but a pavement that naturally accompanies the step, respecting the identity of the place.
One perceives a coherent, stable, and legible whole.
This intervention demonstrates that even in historical centers, it is possible to innovate without altering memory.
Mosaico Drenante has contributed to:
- strengthening the visual harmony of the village
- ensuring natural rainwater management
- protecting public investment with a durable solution
The redevelopment was not only technical but cultural: a way to return a safer space to the community that is consistent with its own history.
